Everything we want out Hot Tub weekend. Clean and well set out lodge, a warm enough and large enough Hot Tub and all the usual in lodge facilities. The park it's self was quiet around the lodges but had a small shop, a smashing little cafe and a very nice bar/ restaurant. There was plenty of room for a walk in between Hot Tub sessions. All in all very good value.

These log cabins are wonderful! We had one right by like which slept 6 and to be honest couldn’t asked for much more. It’s the perfect getaway for couples and nice to enjoy the peace. However, we stayed in the middle of a heatwave and these cabins temperatures got unbearable!! Literally could not sleep most nights due to the heat! Would have been nice if the cabins came equipped with fans or maybe air conditioning fitting inside for the summer season! And then there was the bugs and spiders and wasps! Literally everywhere in the cabin! Kept waking up at night and finding spiders on the wall next to us, even with all the windows closed they cabin was still full off them! But I supposed that was due to being next to the lake, other than that it was perfect! This is our second visit we stayed in the semi-detached ones before and that was great too, only one more negative thing that I can add is the privacy in the hot tub? Just one little fence panel on one side but exposed everywhere else.. would have preferred more privacy. Would definitely book again though!!

The cabins are very clean. Nice thoughtful welcome pack. Hot tubs well maintained. Peaceful site . Will def go again. And again

Rated 1 out of 5 by A Google User on 21st July 2019

We arrived Friday 5th July for 3nights. Have stayed 4 previous times over last 3years. Each time Lodges deteriorate but this was the worst. Lodge had not been cleaned properly, cobwebs all over and yes I know we’re in woodland but this was very excessive inside the lodge. Trimmings missing, light fittings missing, fridge draws missing. Not enough cutlery for 8 guests. Window next to hot tub filthy. Balloons still tied on railings from previous part goers. 2 members of staff came with hoover after we complained, also moved a spiders nest from one of bedrooms! Managed to acquire fridge drawers after we kicked up a fuss (needed storage for food/drinks shopping for 8 of us over the weekend) were next door to noisy guests, listened to a mother/daughter argument over drugs! Staff had visited them twice re the noise, they were also smoking in the non-smoking lodgeLeft my phone charger and emailed them when I got home to explain where it was, hoping they’d post back to me. Informed it wasn’t there which is impossible so only conclusion is that someone with access took it after we checked out! I think it’s time we found a new hideaway for our Mother/Daughter weekends, not worth the money now. Lodges looking tired and in desperate need of upgrading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Frue George on 6th March 2019

Brilliant weekend in the two storey lakeside lodge. The bedrooms were a decent size. One bedroom with a four poster bed, the other with twin beds. The four painter room has an en suite with a bath. The other bedroom has access to another bathroom with bath. The living room was spacious enough for 4 adults comfortably with a corner sofa. There was a 6 seat dining table and an ample kitchen with all the utensils we required. There is a shower room off the kitchen. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and a child to spend a pleasant weekend without feeling crowded. The hot tub was wonderful, the perfect temperature and it was tended to daily by staff. Robes and slippers were provided as were towels and extra bedding. Car parking was good and not too far from the cabin itself. Would definitely visit again and would recommend for anyone looking for a place to relax and unwind.
