Rated 5 out of 5 by Alex H44 on 2nd June 2019

This is great place to stop for a few days. Peaceful, quiet, and within reach of all the attractions around the Fylde coast and the Lake District. Lodges in my experience are always clean, tidy and well appointed. All have a balcony and it's very pleasant sitting out on the balcony for a late dinner or supper, weather permitting. If you have a view over the lake it makes it even better. There is a restaurant /bar on site, with good quality food and drinks and not too expensive either. A swimming pool is also available, although I think there is a small charge for this. Some lodges are dog friendly and if like us, you won't leave home without your faithful hound then this is very important.
